Help
Spread the Word of MOA in the Community
The
MOA consumer Web site's mission is to enlighten Maryland residents
on what we as optometrists do in the local community. In order to
accomplish this we need YOUR help! If you have recently been a part
of a program or event in your local community, MOA wants to know
all about it. Please send information on the event and photos to
Erika Williams at erikawilliams@assnhqtrs.com
and help spread the word of MOA in the Maryland community.

MOA
board member Rob Stutman, O.D. and MOA's Legislative Director Megan
Mason were featured on the cover of the January issue of the AOA
News (the newsletter for the AOA). Their picture (see right) was
featured with the following caption: "Robert Stutman, O.D.,
legislative chair of the Maryland Optometric Association (MOA),
briefed Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), a special adviser to U.S.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and member of the powerful Ways and Means
Committee, on AOA-backed legislation before Congress and optometry's
proposal for patient access safe-guards to be a key element of health
care reform in 2009. Also pictured are Megan Mason of the MOA and
Jon Hymes of the AOA Washington Office." Thanks
to Rob and Megan for representing the MOA well!
