The 2008 MOA Convention and Education Forum was a huge success this year with 250 different optometrists participating! The convention was a weekend full of education, networking, food, and fun in downtown Baltimore at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore. Courses were offered to participants on a variety of topics including Computer Vision Syndrome: Diagnosis and Treatment, Nutritional Genomics: Genes, Nutrition and Chronic Eye Disease, Secondary Angle-Closure Glaucoma and many more. Participants had the opportunity to dine at McCormick & Schmick’s in downtown Baltimore. Prestigious guest speakers kept the crowd intrigued and were all very well received.

The Award Ceremony honored many optometry professionals for their hard work and dedication to the field. Awards that were given included OD of the Year, Young OD of the Year, the Eugene McCrary Award and the Mel Waxman Award.
