Saturday-Sunday, December 1-2
Hyatt Regency Baltimore
300 Light Street,
Baltimore, Maryland, 21202

The 2007 MOA Convention and Education Forum was a huge success this year, with 300 Maryland ODs participating! The convention was a weekend full of education, networking, food, and fun in downtown Baltimore at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore. Courses were offered to participants on a variety of topics including Cornea: Contemporary Diagnosis and Management, Successful Management of the Glaucoma Patient and Advances in Anterior Segment Surgery and many more. Participants had the opportunity to dine at Caesar's Den Italian Restaurant in Little Italy. Prestigious guest speakers kept the crowd intrigued and were all very well received.

The Award Ceremony honored many optometry professionals for their hard work and dedication to the field. Awards that were given included OD of the Year, Young OD of the Year, the Eugene McCrary Award and the Mel Waxman Award. Dr. David Cockrell from the AOA Board of Trustees spoke and gave his annual updates, out going president Dr. McGinn was presented with her gifts and plaque, and Dr. Wong introduced himself to the group as the new MOA President.
